Our Neighborhood: We’re very proud of our neighborhood, which is a little piece of small town America within a large city.  For us, it comprises three streets from east to west (Selby, Malcolm, and Glendon), and three streets from north to south (Richland, Coventry, and Clarkson).  This “neighborhood” in positioned between two larger thoroughfares:  Overland Avenue and Westwood Boulevard.  Here is a small version of the map (a larger one in landscape can be found at the end of this guest book) with the neighborhood approximately within the inner box:

The weather: West Los Angeles is in the “Beaches” area of the city, which means we have much more temperate weather than anywhere east of here (even just a few miles). We are often 30 degrees cooler than the San Fernando Valley. In the winter, we tend to not get as cold either. Another plus for us in moving to West Los Angeles was the air. Since asthma was a consideration for us, the Westside’s cleaner air was important.
